DBT- Based Group Programs for Adults -Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment that specializes in teaching people to manage moods and impulses, deal with distress and improve relationships.
These 20-week groups focus on developing the core DBT skills of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Because these groups are primarily educational and skills based, it is highly recommended that the members be in individual therapy as well.
Anger Management Groups for Women -The program consists of an individual evaluation and assessment and 12 weekly 1 1/2 hour psycho-educational group sessions. The program helps participants to assess the impact of anger on their functioning; identify and manage their triggers; and to introduce different techniques that can be used to improve a person's capability to express anger assertively.
Child and Adolescent Emotional Regulation/Behavioral Management Groups -These groups (now in development) will be based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) principals, which is an evidence-based treatment that specializes in teaching people to manage moods and impulses, deal with distress and improve relationships.
Assistance Finding Resources for Basic Needs - If you need help finding basic resources for you and your family, a social worker can help you on a time-limited basis.
Community Yoga - We offer free (donations encouraged, if you are able) yoga classes in a location near Davis Square. These classes are open to everyone - beginners welcome, no experience necessary. Easy flow yoga, with restorative meditation, taught by a certified yoga teacher. Check back here in the fall of 2018 for the fall and winter schedule.
